For example, to set Node.js version 16.0.0 as the default version, you would use the following command: nvm alias default 16.0.0 This will set the default Node.js version to 16.0.0. Nvm install-latest-npm: Attempt to upgrade to the latest working npm on the current node version nvmrc file only has one line: the version. nvmrc file in your project root folder will tell NVM that you want to use a particular node version, rather than the one it sets by default. Netlify uses Node Version manager (NVM) to manage the node versions it uses for builds. It's nvm install-latest-npm or nvm install -latest-npm. nvmrc file to your project root and commit it.
